Pinupocalypse is a mix of 50’s sci-fi and horror tropes reimagined with a clever twist. Set in 1950’s small town America, this satirical adventure pits two stylish pin-up girls against hordes of zombies and aliens. Inspired by Hollywood filmmakers like Ed Wood, Sam Raimi and Edgar Wright, Pinupocalypse is an out-of-this-world story with a Gil Elvgren aesthetic to titillate readers!

Story Summary

Set during “the day the sky exploded,” the story follows two young women, Foxy and Roxy, whose idyllic 1950s day is interrupted by a sudden alien attack that releases a mysterious gas turning the townsfolk into flesh-hungry zombies . As their small town (aptly named Pinupolis) descends into chaos, the pin-up duo arm themselves and team up to survive hordes of brain-eating neighbors and flying saucer invasions. Along the way they encounter everything from bug-eyed aliens to rampaging mutants, all with a satirical twist. Despite the seemingly apocalyptic stakes, Pinupocalypse maintains a playful, almost action-comedy vibe – the violence is stylized (green alien blood splatters instead of red gore) and the dialogue is peppered with cheeky one-liners and vintage pop-culture quotes. The themes center on friendship and girl-power under pressure: the heroines rely on each other’s wits and courage to navigate mad science labs and zombie-infested diners. Numerous B-movie tropes get subverted or homage-paid (for example, one heroine briefly becomes a zombie herself due to alien “undeadifying gas,” only to be saved by a clever twist involving alien-made bracelets) . In the end, the tale stays true to its pulpy roots by delivering a “happy ending” rather than nihilistic horror – without spoiling too much, humanity is cured and Foxy even makes it home to her family, avoiding any grim fate or cop-out dream sequence . The result is a complete story that stands as a loving parody of 1950s sci-fi/horror, mixing genuine suspense with humor and pin-up style panache.

Main Characters
Felicity “Foxy” Dawn
Foxy is the 18-year-old protagonist – a red-haired, green-eyed small-town bombshell with classic pin-up looks . Sweet but spunky, she’s known around town for her hearty appetite and charm (she’s the winner of a local cherry pie eating contest and an avid chocolate ice cream lover) . Foxy isn’t much of a bookworm (“not a fan of reading,” as she admits) , preferring music and daydreams – her favorite movie is Gone with the Wind, reflecting a romantic streak . When the apocalypse hits, however, this stockings-and-heels clad pin-up girl proves resourceful and brave, wielding a shotgun and quick wits to protect her friends. Foxy’s personality balances wholesome girl-next-door optimism with a fearless can-do attitude in the face of B-movie mayhem.
Roxanne “Roxy” Rodriguez

Roxy, also 18, is Foxy’s best friend and the resident “greaser” girl with a rebellious edge. She’s a bit taller than Foxy, a curvy brunette with gray eyes and a flair for rock’n’roll style (leather jackets and jeans) . A bassist in a rockabilly band called The Rovers, Roxy lives and breathes youth pop culture – her favorite movie is The Wild One (the 1953 biker film starring Marlon Brando) and she’s rarely seen without a confident smirk and a pack of French fries (her snack of choice) . Roxy’s “bad girl” energy – tomboyish, sarcastic, and bold – nicely complements Foxy’s more innocent persona. In the story, Roxy brings street-smarts and toughness: she handles a baseball bat as deftly as her bass, and even when things get dire (at one point she’s briefly turned into a zombie), her punky spirit shines through. Together, the duo’s chemistry (Foxy’s pin-up sweetness and Roxy’s rockabilly sass) forms the heart of Pinupocalypse.
